Calabria Pizzeria Re-opening as Calabria Coastal Bistro Spring 2016

Yes, it is true!  Calabria is back!

New owners, Jeff Wiper and Melissa Nauss, will be re-opening Calabria in early Spring 2016 (date to be determined, stay tuned!).

We will be launching our social media accounts and pages shortly and will communicate information about our new menu and returning favourites, hours of operation, contact information and exact dates for takeout, delivery and dine-in services to begin!

The response from the community and business owners has been fantastic! We’re eager to get started and look forward to hosting you and your guests soon!

In the meantime, if you’re interested in seeing what type of food, hospitality and professionalism you can expect from Jeff and Melissa, check out their current restaurant (closing December 31, 2015) in Chester, Nova Scotia on Facebook or Trip Advisor.

      Thank you for the introduction. We will be at the restaurant nearly every day starting on January 12th in preparation for our opening late February or early March. We will retain the same phone number as the prior business.

  2. I worked at Calabria under Linda and John for six years, and I could not be happier to hear it’s reopening. SO MANY MEMORIES! Best of luck (and bring back the Salty Dog!).

    1. Thanks for the excitement Danielle! We’re really looking forward to getting back up and open as soon as possible. We’ve had a number of requests for the Salty Dog. Our new menu will be out shortly and we have kept a number of “Calabria Classics” on our menu… stay tuned!

  3. Hi, I looked at your FB page in Nova Scotia and saw you had a buffet with spaetzle. I haven’t had that since I was a child living in Germany. Will you ever be serving this?????? I look forward to the opening of Clalbria as I used to go there.

      Thank you for the kind words, we appreciate the gracious welcome we’re receiving from the community! Jeff and his brother Ben are both from Leamington originally. Jeff is returning home after 5 years in Nova Scotia where he and Ben opened up a restaurant. Jeff’s returning home with his fiancee Melissa to start the next chapter in the business’ evolution (Ben’s staying – we can’t pull him away from the ocean!). We look forward to seeing you at Calabria in the near future!

  5. This is wonderful news! Cottam has been the place I’ve called home for the past 26 years, and with it being such a small town it’s so depressing to see places close!

We are excited about re-opening Calabria Bistro restaurant and for also bringing in our other business, Blossoms Fresh Fruit Arrangements which will specialize in fruit bouquets!
